U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships

Cal South leads all state associations with six girls teams entered in the 2012 U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships to be played July 24-29 at Manchester Meadows in Rock Hill, S.C. Cal North and Ohio North are second with three teams each in the finals. -

Ohio North Club Awards

The US Youth Soccer National Championship Series State Cup brings together OYSAN's top clubs to test their players and coaches and to compete for regional advancement. The results are summarised below; for a compete analysis, click this link.

Top Boy's Clubs (13-18): 1) Pacesetter; 2) Challenger Crew Jrs; 3) Everest

Top Girl's Clubs (13-18): 1) Internationals; 2) Cleveland FC; 3) Pacesetter

OYSAN Coaching Education Standards
OYSAN's membership  

All competitive OYSAN coaches are required to hold minimum coaching certification. For State League coaches, the "D" license is the standard; for Travel level coaches, the U10/12 Course is required.

Corresponding certification from other organizations, such as the NSCAA, are recognized. The OYSAN Travel leagues are.. American Amateur Soccer League (AASL)Greater Akron Amateur Soccer (GASSA)Northern Ohio Girls Soccer League (NOGSL)Northwest Ohio Youth Soccer League (NWOYSL)Ohio Amateur Soccer League (OASL)Youngstown Area Youth Soccer League (YAYSL) The U10/12 Course for Travel level coaches includes 2-3 hours of on-line study and eleven hours of practical field experience. The "D" License for State League coaches is a 38-hour course with an extensive testing component.

Additional courses can be scheduled by local organizations upon request, and Travel level coaches with a strong soccer background are welcome to complete the "D" License.

Tournament Center
 The Tournament Center is a state-of-the-art website which allows members of Ohio Youth Soccer Association North to complete SANCTIONING FORMS as well as NOTIFICATION TO TRAVEL/TRAVEL PERMITS and GUEST PLAYER/PLAYER LOAN FORMS.
